This seal was found by Puabi's right arm inside her grave. The seal depicts a banquet/feast scene, in two horizontal registers; one of the typical themes of the Early Dynastic III seals. Each register depicts a man and a woman (probably Puabi) drinking from straw-like tubes (above register, probably beer) and goblets (lower register, possibly wine). Early Dynastic Period, circa 2600 BCE. From the Royal Cemetery at Ur, Southern Mesopotamia, modern-day Iraq. Part of objects allotted to the British Museum from Ur excavation season 1927-1928 CE.(The British Museum, London).
