This is a Primer that lists numerous artifacts, hieroglyphs and their explanations. Not EZ reading, but that is the nature of any good research into the minds of people who lived over 5000 years ago. The author has taken immense trouble to discover how words mean many different things to people who speak slightly different languages, all derived from a unifying system that existed long ago. I found this Primer to be extremely useful to learn many things that helped me appreciate the nuances in the main volume. Dr. Kalyanaraman has published quite a number of books as the research progressed at a rising pace, following the discovery of the Sarasvati riverbed and the settlements now numbering over 2600 along its route. The entire perspective that revealed the metal works industry and trade of that time, is coming together with increasing rapidity. A must-own Primer.
