Minerva Spencer's brief author bio will tell you she has been a criminal prosecutor, college history teacher, and B&B operator. What it doesn't tell you is she also worked as a dock worker, ice cream manufacturer, reader for the blind, motel maid, and bounty hunter.

Okay, so the part about being a bounty hunter is a lie.

Minerva does, however, know how to hypnotize a Dungeness crab, sew her own Regency Era clothing, knit a frog hat, juggle, rebuild a 1959 American Rambler, and gain control of Asia (and hold on to it) in the game of RISK.

Minerva loves writing historical romances that feature uncommon heroes and heroines in ususual and challenging situations.

When Minerva isn't beavering away on her next book she plays with her dogs and many rescue birds, buys too many beads and too much yarn, and spends time fixing up her old adobe house with her wonderful, tolerant husband.

Minerva also writes historical romance, historical erotic romance (SUPER DUPER STEAMY), and science fiction romance under the name S.M. LaViolette.

AURELIA, book 4 in THE BELLAMY SISTERS Series, will be out April 9 2024.

Rebels of The Ton #2, Outrageous picks-up where Notorious, Rebel of The Ton, #1's cliffhanger left us - Eva kidnapping Godric!Days adrift in a carriage through the muddy countryside turns these enemies into friends and eventually lovers. The quick to anger Eva soon learns the backstory to Godric's constant harassment of her brother and glimpses into his broken heart. Through all the mud, shenanigans and arguments, together they slowly shift their lens to truly see each other - Eva's stunning beauty and passions and Godric's fear of loving and losing again.Outrageous is a quick witted read, full of hijinks and I look forward to Book #3, Infamous. Strongly recommend the reader read this series in order.Thank you Kensington Books for a complimentary copy of Outrageous for an honest review.

This series is quickly moving up my favorite series list and Minerva Spencer is becoming a favorite author.

First, the setup. OMG! I don’t think I have ever read anything with quite this setup. It was so incredibly fun and sucked me in right from the beginning.

Second, the banter! Wow! I legitimately laughed out loud several times. Eva and Godric both have such sharp tongues and incredible wits. They are a perfect match for each other.

Third, can we just talk about how amazing Eva is for a minute? She is so smart and witty and I adored her. I understood her motivations. It was beautiful watching her work through her issues regarding her mother’s death and to see glimpses of her healing her relationship with her stalwart father. Oh, my heart! ♥️♥️♥️ Her banter and relationship with both James and Andrew was also so sweet and funny wonderful.

Last, Godric was just fantastic. He went toe to toe with Eva and reveled in her sharp tongue and wit. His story was absolutely heartbreaking. I hurt for him while reading this. I didn’t think he could top Gabriel (hero from the first book), but he came *really* close.

I read both books pretty quickly and I honestly can’t say which one I enjoyed more. All I know is I rarely order a physical copy of a book while listening to the audiobook or reading an ebook, but I did that with BOTH books in this series. I am definitely pre-ordering the next book, too.

I enjoyed the personalities of the H and H .Their characters were well developed and believable. The supportive characters were a lot of fun —- very humorous. The action , adventure and “steam” were well written— one part flowed nicely to the next chapter . I didn’t feel the need to speed read through any part of this novel because I was never bored with it . The romantic storyline was amazing and one I wish I had experienced : )

She enlists the help of James, her friend/stable boy. And comes up with a plan. They kidnap Godric. When Godric awakes. He realizes his predicament and why it has come to this point. Ashamed of his actions this season. Trying to do what is right. He lets her know, that now she will be "ruined" if anyone finds out she has been alone with him. So, he insists they go to Scotland to be wed. This is when Eva realizes her impulsive actions. When unforeseen obstacles happen on their way to Scotland. The adventure begins. So does the chemistry between Godric and Eva.
This was a wonderful regency period book. It is charming, amusing and an exciting story. I highly recommend this book. I will be reading more of this series.

This is another good book by Minerva. I thoroughly enjoyed the first book in this series. This book is written well. It brought many emotions, and had me laughing out loud at times. The characters are interesting and engaging. Gordon endured horrible losses which explained his actions in the previous book. Eva , I liked in the first book, but in the beginning of this book she came across like a spoiled child.(to me) . She is very loyal, loving, impulsive, likes to argue and has a horrible temper. I have a problem with the use of the f...word.

what a wonderful read this one from the first page to the last. Only thing I would have liked at the end was a little catch up maybe a couple of years later to see how Goduric and Eva where doing, it started has hate and became a friendship then passion and then love, both having problems which meeting eachother helped them both, I found myself cheering for the couple and the great friends they made on the way to Scotland. Wonderful writing a love story, drama,friendship and passion what more could you ask for not one part of this book was boring it was wonderful.
