Working as a freelance tour guide during the ‘90s, I visited the tomb of Cyrus the Great on many occasions. During these visits, I learned about this fascinating figure in detail. Later in 2011, I decided to write his story in a dramatic form, because I thought that Cyrus, as the original architect of the Human Rights, had not been given the attention he deserved. I had to research many elements such as characters, events, battle scenes, dates, etc. to come up with the story you have in your hands as a historical fiction. It is historical because the major plot is based on facts published by Greek historians or philosophers. It is fiction because characterization, dialogues, internal thoughts, scenes, and sub-plots are my own creation. These elements have been dramatized for story captivation, but they reach the same conclusions recorded by reliable sources such as Herodotus, Xenophon, and other historians and writers. I wrote this book with three objectives in mind. To mold the scattered pieces of Cyrus’ life in a coherent story that projects the highlights of his accomplishments. To create an attractive right-to-the-point dramatic form that includes dialogues, narrative, and scenes in right proportion in order to entertain and avoid boredom. And finally, to present a story to all readers who wish to know about the true architect of the Human Rights and how he affected the lives of more than 40,000 Jewish slaves in Babylon and many other oppressed nations in the dawn of the Persian historical period.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good book for children

It is not really a historical fact book but a good story book for children. I expected a historical narrative with facts and references but most if it is the author's opinion. Good book for children through
